About Us
Reviewer Credits is the first cross-publisher platform dedicated to rewarding and recognizing peer review and academic activity. Our performance and quality metrics suite tracks peer reviews and academic contributions using tools like the Reviewer Contribution Index (RCI), journal rankings, article citations, scientific impact, training course participation, and more. We also offer the first peer review certification standards designed to uphold the integrity and sustainability of quality publishing.
Researchers around the world rely on Reviewer Credits to gain recognition for their academic contributions and receive rewards for their peer review efforts. Journal editors use Reviewer Credits to acknowledge and reward reviewers, while also accessing a global network of certified experts. To safeguard the integrity of our platform and the publishing process, we use biometric and academic verification to validate users. Reviewer Credits is proud to be the first KYC solution in scientific publishing.

Our history
Reviewer Credits was born in 2016 thanks to an idea and the friendship of two early career researchers, Giacomo Bellani and Robert Fruscio. These friends contributed to scientific research by participating in the peer review process at the time, like millions of scientists worldwide. Through their experiences as peer reviewers, they faced a lack of recognition and reward for their efforts even though peer review is a crucial part of the publication process for scientific journals and publishers.
Reviewer Credits is now a fully independent platform that does not belong to any publishing group. Reviewer Credits recognizes, rewards, and certifies the work of peer reviewers, offering them and journals several free and paid subscription services. In 2022, Dr Sven Fund took responsibility for Reviewer Credits: Sven is convinced that peer review must be part of the academic record and that there must be ways for journals to legitimately and ethically reward academics for carrying out this community service.
